Oversees a portfolio of retail food donors in Alameda County and works collaboratively with the programs and operations teams to connect agency partners to food resources that meet the diverse needs of their clients while diverting edible food from waste streams. Responsible for piloting the roll-out of Safeway’s state-wide “Fresh Rescue” donation program in response to requirements of Senate Bill 1383. Created Tableau dashboards for the team to be able to analyze trends in donations and provide impact reports to donors on a monthly basis. Steering committee member for the creation of a Salesforce platform for the program to streamline workflows, enabling the program to continue to grow in the number of donor and agency partnerships. Day-to-day role responsibilities include a high level of customer service, community relationship building, mediation between donors and agencies, project management, and data analysis.

 

Lovin’ Spoonfuls
Food Rescue Coordinator

Manages Lovin’ Spoonful’s downtown Boston food rescue route, involving the collection of food from partner vendors and distribution to partner beneficiaries, with a focus on beneficiaries’ specific programming needs. Responsible for forming and maintaining relationships with national, small community-based, and faith-based organizations. Requires the building of strong community ties with populations served and collaboration with other food rescue coordinators serving other neighborhoods of Greater Boston and Western Massachusetts. Daily tracking of food distributions through Inventory Cloud and partner data through SalesForce. Spearheaded the implementation of a new communication platform for the company with the objective of creating a more transparent and democratic workplace. Occasional grant writing and donor relations work.

Volunteer at a collectively run harm reduction organization in Oakland (operating under the fiscal sponsorship of the HIV Education and Prevention Program of Alameda County). Roles include preparation of harm reduction and hygiene supplies, coordination of quarterly care villages, participant data collection and analysis, opioid overdose reversal training for participants and community members, participation in committees and monthly meetings to guide the collective’s work, and direct outreach at encampments in the West Oakland area.
